Glenstone was engaged by the Church Missionary Society to refurbish and extend their existing conference centre located in Katoomba, NSW.

The works included an early contractor engagement process in which we advised on buildability and early stage estimating to ensure the project met the clients objectives.

  • Extension and refurbishment of the main conference building.

  • Renovation and addition of bathrooms to 24 accommodation rooms, along with extra breakout spaces.

  • Extensive civil and landscaping works.

  • Maintained the project schedule under significant delays caused by adverse weather conditions and changes to documentation.

  • Successful input during the early contractor engagement process ensured alignment with client objectives and efficient project planning.

  • Overcoming challenges of adverse weather conditions, COVID-related delays, and changes in design and scope.

  • Despite compressed timelines, we successfully completed construction in September 2022.
